Regional Conference on Universal Periodic Review
Office of the Senior Human Rights Advisor (OHCHR – Rwanda)
In the month of June, from 11th to 13th , One UN Rwanda, via the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights of Rwanda (OHCHR), organized a Regional Conference on the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) - in collaboration with the Rwanda Coalition of Civil Society Organizations on Universal Periodic Review.
The overall objective of this regional conference was to strengthen Human Rights Promotion and Protection in the region through Universal Periodic Review mechanism.
Bringing together 100 CSO members - from all five countries of the East African Community (EAC), as well as South Sudan and Somalia - the Regional Conference took place at Kigali Serena Hotel and was also attended by Government representatives and UN agencies.
